043# NYFASHIONWEEK: Mandy Coon,Vena Cava & Nicholas K

Thursday,9th

MANDY COON, presents a jellyfish inspired Spring collection and I must say, im KIND OF loving the looks and dash of colours.Still, Coon wasn't overly literal about the invertebrate reference; although there was a dash of colored jellyfish print on a couple of dresses, and leather tubing, used as both jewelry and belt.

VENA CAVA. Buhai and Mayock have always preferred elegance to edge. With some pretty cool inspiration from the eighties Memphis design movement, they used color-blocked shades such as black, khaki, cool tones of blue and red.

NICHOLAS K. The inspiration for the men and women's collection shown by Nicholas K  was a bit based on New York City meets bohemian go rogue chic somewhere in the American West. I totally fell in love with the oversized army coloured parka's, which had oversized hoods ( in which you could probably fi 3 heads in !!!).Underneath the parkas and leather vests, the pieces had a very warm earthy tone to them which all looked simple and comfortable.
