012# FLF/Feathers-Lace and Fringe

Riccardo Tisci has done it again ! This season, he picked out of a proper show in favor of intimate presentations, where he showed detailed pieces like the painstakingly patchworked leather coat.  His inspiration for this was Frida Kahlo and her three obsessions: religion, sensuality, and, given the painter's lifelong battle with spinal pain, the human anatomy.

What really stood out to me was the dark chocolate brown dress, one of my FAVOURITES. From dark brown to a creamy white color, LOVE IT! Otherwise, everything was white, gold or flesh-colored.

011# Shoot me on location

For the past few weeks Rox & I have been working as hard as possible to get Melting Icons off the ground and it's safe to say the first big leap takes place tomorrow. We will be doing a joint photo-shoot with FlowNerds (http://www.flownerds.com/) to preview some of our editorial pieces (one offs). We are very excited about this because finally our supporters will be able to see our work first hand and it will also be a good opportunity for us to receive feedback. The collection will consist of 6-7 pieces that we belive represent what MI. exudes. I hope you guys stay posted and share this experience with us.

 Im so excited you guys ! When I saw Dior /John Galliano's new collection, it just blew my mind ! I mean every new collection is somehow better than the other and more jaw dropping.

Part of Galliano's research involved studying real flowers, spending an hour watching the light change on a parrot tulip, for instance.
