Aloha guys!
I know I haven't had a post up in a while, I have been falling off a little bit and letting Rox do all the work haha! BOO YOU AFRICA! I know! But it's because I have been working on so many new ideas and thinking of ways to expand Melting Icons. We have set up a YouTube account, a Twitter and also a Facebook page, so you guys can be more updated with out whereabouts etc! At this moment in time, the plan is to work on our new collection and start the designing process. Youtube videos will also be up soon as well as the new website. It will be easier to get a clearer idea of what's to come when we have everything up and running.
Aside from all the technics (which I have to say I'm not too fond of *thumbs down*) it's practically winter, which means Christmas and the New year are round the corner, and I am excited for what the future holds! I feel as though we are making so much progress and deserve everything that is coming and we hope you guys enjoy it too! Although not many people are following this blog we have had a ridiculous amount of views and positive feedback and I for one am really happy about that and I hope we continue to go. Slowly but surely!
Much love

046# NYFASHIONWEEK Ohne Titel, Jill Stuart & Lacoste
Saturday 11th
Lacoste.Christophe Lemaire said good-bye to Lacoste with a collection that skillfully honored the legacy of René Lacoste himself while incorporating some of Lemaire's own signatures. The pieces were inspired by modernist architecture. White shirts, bags, pleated pants and polo dresses that could be worn to a tennis match! The colors were very simple Eastern toned, ochre, burnt orange, cinnamon, sunset pink
Ohne Titel Adams and Gill worked in a tight palette of black, navy, and white. There were flashes of fluorescent on the fiercely cool sandal-boots and the geometric tubular necklaces that were a collaboration with artist Tauba Auerbach. Sporty color blocking, with a touch of graphics in them. This Spring collection was inspired by Japanese artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi. I totally fell in LOVE with the knit cardigan !
Jill Stuart This collection was all about Spring romance, lots of ruffles, pleats, lace and light prints. This was one of my favourite collections out of theese three collections. I really fell in love with the buttercup coloured shorts peared with a musterd top, the navy cape with the round shoulders, the see threw beige/khaki dress and the cropped black pants peared with a black blazer and a white shirt...simple and chich ! Stuart kept the colours clean and neutral; champagne, blush, ivory, and ebon. ENJOY !
